Coming to Your Area

Hey Everyone,

HisSong has just returned from a 5 day experience in Lima, Peru with our friends at Compassion International.  Compassion International exists as a Christian child advocacy ministry that releases children from spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty and enables them to become responsible, fulfilled Christian adults.  Compassion also gives individuals the ability to hold a very powerful role in the children’s development by sponsoring them.  Members Adam Cannon (baritone) and Dennis Humphries (manager/lead) were blessed with the opportunity to meet each of their sponsered children.  For us to say that this experience has changed our lives would be an understatement.  We’ll have more information on our trip thru Lima in next weeks Blog post.

HisSong would like to let everyone know that we would love to come to your area during the second weekend of December.  If anyone would like to have HisSong come to their area for worship and ministry in song please contact any of the following individuals to set that up.  We look forward to seeing each one of you.

Michael Davis (Dominion Booking Agency):.....910-484-6996
Adam Cannon:..............................................618-922-0187
Adam Elrod:.................................................615-445-9030

God Bless!

Wednesday, September 24, 2008 - Fall Is In The Air

Hey Everyone,

It’s the time of year, once again, when the full trees of summer that provided our much needed shade in triple-digit weather, begin to shed their leaves and decorate the ground with the beautiful reds, yellows, and oranges to signify Fall has arrived.  As high school homecomings, Autumn picnics, and pumpkin pie may be on most everyone’s mind, HisSong is looking forward to another season of fellowship, worship, and music.
HisSong is preparing to join our great friends at Stuart Road Christian Ministries Center in Monroe, MI.  Pastor Sam Luke and his wife, Sister Donna, have been friends of HisSong for the past two and a half years.  Last year HisSong spent three days in worship and ministry at Stuart Road and this year we’re coming a day early.

Sunday, September 28 - Wednesday, October 1 2008
Stuart Road Christian Ministries Center

A final piece of news involves the youngest member of HisSong:  Adam Cannon(22).  A few weeks ago Adam and his wife of six months, Samantha, received news that they are expecting their first child around May 3.  The Cannon family is excited about their new addition and grateful for God’s blessings every day.

God Bless!

Verse of the Week:
“If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth.  But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.”

Hey Everyone,

HisSong had the opportunity to take a vacation last weekend.  We were priviledged to attend our home churches and spend time with friends and family.  While these opportunities are rare, they are blessings we are happy to take advantage of.  However, we have a full tour scheduled traveling from Alabama to Michigan planned for the next few days.  As we ‘hit the ground running’, we look forward to joining many great friends in worship, prayer, and ministry.
Unfortunately, the Gallery Page on our web site has been off-line for several days.  Restoration of this page is beyond our control, but should be working properly soon.  We apologize for the inconvenience.  We are excited for you to see the new photos of events including HisSong’s Homecoming 2008, Sogospelnews Fanfair and awards.
Please continue calling in to your local southern gospel radio stations and requesting our brand new single, That’s When God Steps In.  This anointed and encouraging song reminds us, no matter how desperate or impossible our circumstances may seem, we must recognize and have faith in God’s Perfect Timing.  We’ve had many people tell us of how God has used this song to bring encouragement and blessings to their lifes.

Thursday, July 17 2008 - Technical Difficulties

Hey Everyone,

I apologize for the long hiatus between our last blog and this one.  As the title implies, and as some of you may have noticed, we’ve been experiencing some technical problems with different pages on the site.  I’m pleased to inform everyone that we are up and running with plenty of new information to share.
The first piece of exciting news comes from the Southern Gospel Charts.  Anyone who has called in to your local radio station and requested our single, I Still Have It All, will be excited to learn that it’s the #2 Southern Gospel song nationwide.  The very next edition of Singing News Magazine’s Southern Gospel Top 80 Chart will feature our single in the #2 spot.  Thank you to everyone who called in with their requests and testimonies of how God has used our music to bless you.  It’s truly an honor.
Be sure to keep your ears open for our brand new single, That’s When God Steps In.  I heard a minister say, “It’s always darkest just before dawn”.  This anointed and encouraging song reminds us that no matter how desperate or impossible our circumstances may seem, we must have faith in God’s timing.  Our timing is rarely His, but rest assured, when God moves in a situation circumstances have no choice but to change.
HisSong will be recording a brand new live DVD soon in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee at the 2008 World Premier Gospel Concert broadcast by Gospel Music Television Network.  Many other artists will be there to join us in ministry including Kevin Spencer & Friends, Dixie Melody Boys, Heirline, Palmetto State Quartet, Chuckwagon Gang, and The Lesters.  Two separate 45-minute sessions will be set aside for the recording of our new live project and we’d love to see all of you there to worship with us.

“I Still Have It All” Rises To Number 2

HisSong has enjoyed several months of success as their current single, “I Still Have It All” has gained success at radio. The second single from the recording, On The Way Up, “I Still Have It All” will appear in the Singing News Magazine as the No. 2 song on the Top 40 chart. Written by Marty Funderburk and Caleb Collins, this song has become the fastest rising for HisSong.

“There is rarely a night when the crowd doesn’t start applauding when they hear the introduction. All my life I wanted to sing Southern Gospel music and hear our songs on the radio. God certainly knows the desires of our hearts and has allowed us to sit back, watch and receive His blessing. But more than the chart success, I’m amazed at the many stories of how this song has helped people through dark times. Thank You God for allowing us to be the vessels from which Your Word is heard,” states Dennis Humphries.

Friday, June 13, 2008 - Right After Homecoming

Hey Ya’ll!  Everyone who came to HisSong’s 6’th Annual Anniversary Concert knows how much fun we all had.  Heather Hart, Terri Streams, and surprise guest: Dona Beauvais (formerly of Hope’s Call) joined us, along with The Hoppers and emcee: Pastor Bill Bailey.  We shared laughter, tears, and memorable moments in the presence of the Holy Spirit.

Not only did we have a great time at Homecoming ’08 last weekend, we also were blessed at some of our favorite churches in Tennessee and Kentucky.

Another bit of exciting news comes from the 2008 Diamond Awards.  The votes have been cast and the ballots have been narrowed as the top-ten has been reduced to the top-five.  The exciting news is that each and every category HisSong was nominated for in the top-ten [Trio of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year (Dennis), Favorite Artist Website, Song of the Year (I Still Have It All), and Album of the Year (On The Way Up)] has moved up to top-five!

We’d like to give a huge thank you to everyone out there calling in to your local Southern Gospel radio station and requesting “I Still Have It All”.  This month in the Singing News Chart “I Still Have It All” is the #3 song nationwide!  This lets us know that the message of hope, triumph, and worship in this song is touching lives and blessing hearts all over the country in Jesus’ Name!

Keep checking our schedule to see when we’ll be near your area.  Hope to see you soon!

God Bless ya’ll!

Friday, May 23, 2008 - It’s Been a While

Hey everyone!  I’m sorry it has taken so long to post a new blog but I hope all of the updates have made it worth it.  Not only has the Gallery page been updated and organized but you can also expect quite a few new photos to pop up within the next week or so.

We’ve been having a blast since the last blog post.  Traveling thru Texas, North Carolina, Louisiana, West Virginia, Virginia, Tennessee.  We’ve been seeing many great friends as well as making new ones!

A sad piece of news comes from one of the greatest songwriters gospel music has ever known.  Miss Dottie Rambo was killed in a bus accident just over a week ago.  Dottie is known best for her gift to turn powerful emotion and conviction into stirring words thru the testimonies of her songs.  Dottie, in our short time on this earth, you’ll be missed, but we’ll see ya again one day in heaven Come Spring.

God Bless ya’ll!

Thursday, May 8, 2008 - Under Construction

Hey everyone!  I want to apologize in advance for the short blog this week, I promise I’ll make it up to ya’ll next week.  Not only will I bring you a longer blog with more information than ever before, but hopefully the revival of the “Gallery” page with some other surprises thrown in the with the mix.
That being said, we had a great time last weekend with our good friends Jeff & Sherry Easter, and Gordon Mote!  The level of talent among these individuals alone is staggering but when coupled with their personalities and willingness to serve God, you have a great bunch of folks.  We were blessed with a surprise visit Saturday night by accomplished song writer and mother to Mark Lowry, Bev Lowry!
I, again, apologize once again for such a short blog, but keep those E-mails coming.  Your feedback is what helps this website to grow.

God Bless ya’ll!

Thursday, May 1, 2008 - April Showers…

Hey ya’ll!  The warm weather that I was getting so used to didn’t stick around for very long.  Not only was it too cold to wear a t-shirt half the time, but I had to break out a jacket I was certain I wouldn’t have to see again until next winter!  You know what they say “April showers bring May....um....ice cubes!” Though the weather outside may have been a little chilly the services this weekend were anything but!  We had a wonderful time in Christiansburg, Virginia and White Sulfer Springs & Lewisburg, West Virginia.
Tuesday we attended the 2008 SoGospelNews Awards where we were both nominated, and performed, with many of our friends including Karen Peck & New River, The Isaacs, Three Bridges, and Gordon Mote just to name a few.  It was indeed a blessing as many artists instead of traditional “thank you” speeches delivered powerful testimonies and lifted up the name of Jesus!  What an honor to be in an industry among so many godly men and women who are willing to step up and minister no matter their surroundings or circumstances.  Love you guys and may God bless your ministries, the lives you touch in Christ Jesus name, every single day.
Friday and Saturday night this week we will be returning to Virginia with Jeff & Sherry Easter and Gordon Mote.  We would love to see all of you who can make it come out and be with us.  If you need any information on the concerts that aren’t provided here on the website you can call or E-mail:

Thursday, April 17, 2008 - A New Day

Hey everyone, I’m back to give ya’ll some updates on what’s going on!  We had an awesome time this past weekend with some of our friends including the Dixie Melody Boys, Gary Jones, Terry Unthank, and many others.  For those of you who weren’t able to make it out to Kentucky or Ohio this weekend I’ve posted some pictures of the great times and blessings we experienced during the tour.  Thursday evening we were in Wildcat territory in Elkton, KY at the Relay for Life.  This meant a great deal to me as I have walked many times in the Relay for Life with my MaMa(grandmother).  The rest of the weekend was spent in Ohio (GO BUCKEYES!) where we had some awesome services.

Don’t forget, we have been nominated for the top-ten in several categories of the 2008 Diamond Awards, including: Trio of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year (Dennis), Favorite Artist Website, Song of the Year (I Still Have It All), and Album of the Year (On The Way Up).  You still have until May 17 to make your voice heard and cast your vote!  The home-page for The Diamond Awards is:

Friday, February 29, 2008 (Crossett, Arkansas)

WOW what a GREAT time we had tonight in Crossett, Arkansas at Rolfe Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. This was our first time at the Church and what an awesome time we had. The Pastor has been sick for several days with the flu and was unable to attend the concert. The Pastors wife we met before the concert. The Pastors Wife had given orders to him that he didn’t need to be out and rumor had it that the Pastor walked to the door of the Church (they live behind Church) to listen to a little bit of the concert but the Pastors wife said he was bare footed LOL. I know it was hard for him not to be there. He use to sing with the popular group “The Sound” that was popular in the 90’s. Anyways, these people love Gospel Music. You can tell that every song spoke to the people in different ways. Our latest radio release “I Still have it all” was one of the highlights of the entire evening. You can always tell when people have gone through something or experienced losses in their lives. We got halfway through the song and people began to stand to their feet and following was “Joy In My Heart” and everyone loved it also as they were on their feet clapping and singing along. The second half of the service was special.  While singing a song several people came down to the altars. We always love when this happens.

Following the concert we was invited by a Family to come to their house for Steaks. The Husband grilled the Steaks and I must say they were some of the BEST Steaks I have ever eaten. We had salad, baked potatoes, steaks and lots of desserts that I love sooo much. Thanks to this awesome Famiily for a GREAT meal and fellowship. We are in the Bus and our Bus driver Dallas Rogers is driving on the way to DaQuincy, Louisiana for Saturday night concert at Hargrove Baptist Church where we ALWAYS have a GREAT time.

Thats all for now, check back soon for more updates

HisSong New Release “I Still Have It All” Makes Singing News Top 5 Best New Releases

Vine/Crossroads Recording artist HisSong’s latest radio release “I Still Have It All” made the Singing News Best New Releases after only being at radio for about 3 wks.  Fans and DJ’s are talking about this song and many saying this is the best by HisSong.

Owner/Manager Dennis Humphries of HisSong says, “We are receiving great response in concerts from “I Still Have It All.” The first time I heard the demo to this song written by Caleb Collins and Marty Funderburk, I knew this was a song we needed to record. As I was listening to the demo that was sent while driving in my car on the way to the studio recording tracks for the other songs on the album. Tears filled my eyes as I thought about the goodness of our Lord and Savior. There are alot of things that we don’t understand when we go through things but we still know the word of God stands today just like it did for our Grand Parents or Great Parents when he said “I will never leave you nor forsake you but that he will be with us always. Just about every night we have people to come to our product table following a concert sharing how this song ministered to them and they realize that even if they lose everything they own, their health, their home that they still have it all with Jesus in their life. It’s so awesome every night when we sing this song the expressions on peoples faces and you can always tell those who have gone through alot of storms.”

Please call your local radio station and request “I Still Have It All” The song was added to the Solid Gospel airplay last week. If you live in the Nashville, TN area you can listen to Solid Gospel 104.9 or 105.1 or you can listen live 24/7 on the web http://www.solidgospel.com . You can also request “I Still Have It All” by sending a email to the DJ on air or .

HisSong’s first radio single from their new CD “The Grave Can’t Hold Me” went to up the charts to # 13 in the Singing News charts and also made the Singing News Top 10 New releases at # 10.

I Still Have It All

Verse

I know there’ll be storm clouds
The thunder will roll
I face waves of fear
Sweeping over soul
But I’ll never be helpless
Though the world round me falls
If I lose all I own
My health and my home
I still have it all

Chorus

Cause In the midst of disaster
When it seems all is lost
I will still trust the Master
I will cling to his Cross
No trials can defeat me
No they won’t make me fall
For if I have my faith
I can rise up and say
I still have it all

Verse

Now you may have stumbled
and guilt keeps you down
You can’t even pray
For defeat has you bound
But if you’ll cry Lord saved me
He will answer your call
And if the clouds roll away
Then you too can say
I still have it all

Repeat Chorus

I still have my hope
I stil have my trust
I still have my lord my God
so I can still sing christ is all I need
when christ is all I got

Repeat Chorus

The Grave Can’t Hold Me

The Grave Can’t Hold Me

Verse

I may not be living
when Jesus returns
Back to this world to take me home
But if I am sleeping
beneath the cold clay
I’ll rise up with power on that judgement day.

Chorus

The grave can’t hold me
for I shall come out
with the voice of triumpth,
I’ll rise up and shout
Oh Grave wheres thy victory
Oh death wheres thy sting
I’ll shout it so loud the heavens will ring

Verse

Now death is the master
all over the land
No one can escape from it’s dreaded hand
So when the lord calls you
And you must go away
To wait for the trumpet
On that judgement day

Verse

I now have God’s spirit
down deep in my soul
and I’m on my way to that blessed abold
For you see it really don’t matter
to me either way
Whether I am alive or sleep on that day

Chorus

Tuesday, January 1, 2008 “Happy New Years”

Hey Everybody, Dennis Humphries here...The New Years Eve Concert was over a couple hrs ago in Huntington, Texas at the Shawnee Church and I must say this was the BEST New Year’s Eve Concert we have ever had. Every soloist and group did a outstanding job.

The large Church was totally filled and what an amazing time we had. We was with alot of our great friend’s.  Our friend Heather Hart always does such a wonderful job and people truly LOVE her, Little Kari Len Spivey always amazes me at 8 yrs old with her singing, our great friend’s “Revived” did a outstanding job and actually the BEST I have ever heard them and of course our long time friend’s The Stanley’s also did the BEST job I have ever heard them do. When we got on stage, the spirit was there and I am telling you we had one more GREAT time. I think people were on their feet more than sitting but that’s ok, we loved every minute of it.

I want to thank 2 people that we love with all our hearts. Pete and Telissa Calfee has promoted Gospel Music for several years and we always love coming to Texas and if it had not been for the Calfee’s, we would not be near as known in Texas as we are now and we appreciate them sooo much. Also our great friend’s Big AL and Cherry who are the evening DJ duo on the Gospel Radio Station. They do such an outstanding job.

I was also sooo proud to have my parents Marvin and Helen Humphries with us for the New Years Eve Concert. They are always with us in Texas New Year’s Eve along with 2 of their friends James and Jackie from Atlanta, Georgia. My parents has a big Motor Home that they take to the Brownsville, Texas area close to Mexico every year where they spend the Winter months with warmer weather. James and Jackie takes their Motor Home and parks next to my parents. They all have a great time. Adam Cannon’s Grand Parents Don & Sue normally goes to Texas with them as well but Sue was not able to go this year due to her Cancer so please be praying for Sue (Adam Cannon’s) Grandma.

Thanks to ALL who attended the concert last night and it was totally amazing because everyone stayed to the very end which was 12:00 midnight on the dot. There were several hundred people attending the concert and we was ready to eat so HisSong, Revived, The Stanley’s, Heather Hart and others couldn’t resist going to IHop at 2 am in the morning. We just left the restaurant and we are on our way back to Nashville.

Just wanted to give you an update on the concert last night. We hope everyone has a safe, happy new years day and we pray God’s blessings on you and your Family throught 2008.

God Bless

Dallas and Shelly Rogers Join HisSong Staff

HisSong welcomes Dallas and Shelly Rogers to their staff. Dallas will be HisSong’s new Bus driver, working with sound and various responsibilites. Shelly will be helping in the HisSong office part time. Dallas is no stranger to Gospel Music. He has been singing for many years with various groups and the most recent being The Dixie Echoes. Dallas shared with HisSong Owner/Manager Dennis Humphries that he wants to take a leave from singing full time and try something new such as driving the bus full time. Dallas has many years experience in driving tour buses as well.

Dennis Humphries stated, “Our previous driver, Drew Darling, resigned in October to spend time with his girlfriend and plan a wedding. Our tenor singer Adam Elrod has been driving and doing a great job until we found the right person to get us where we’re going. It’s tough when someone who is on stage singing every night has to drive the bus, run sound and sing. We are excited that God sent Dallas & Shelly our way. We are also looking forward to Shelly working in the HisSong office in Smyrna, TN. Dallas has been a friend for several yrs.”

The Rogers just moved last week from Pensacola, Florida to Nashville, TN. HisSong is leaving tonight (Wed) for Texas & Louisiana and this will be Dallas Rogers first week with HisSong.

Call your local radio station and request “I Still Have It All”

To request at solid gospel go to http://www.solidgospel.com or send email to

Please call your local radio station and request our latest radio release “I Still Have It All.”
The song is the 2nd release from the latest project “On The Way Up.”

The 1st radio release, “The Grave Can’t Hold Me,” from the latest project titled On The Way Up was a pre-release which was sent to radio a few months before the project was released. The song has risen high in the Top 20 charts in the Singing News at # 13 and SoGospelNews Weekly Charts in the top 10. The song assures us that if your loved ones knew Christ as their Lord and Savior then you will get to see them again. That is such a great assurance.

THANK YOU Radio DJ’s for playing our music and making “The Grave Can’t Hold Me” our highest charting song to date. Our Music couldn’t be heard without Southern Gospel Radio. When calling radio stations to request a song, please thank them for playing the greatest music in the world.

The new release “I Still Have It All” is one of the greatest songs I have ever heard says group owner/manager Dennis Humphries. The very first time I heard the demo of the song, it truly spoke to me. As I was driving my car in Nashville, I could hardly see to drive because of tears as I was being blessed. There was a time in my life that I thought that God didn’t love me or care but he has already promised us that He will NEVER leave us nor forsake us but will be with us ALWAYS.

I took the song to our producer Wayne Haun as we were in the recording studio recording tracks for the other songs chosen for the new project. We had 11 songs picked for the new project and after Wayne heard the song, there was no other option, we had to record “I Still Have It All.”

In concert the song gets such GREAT response. You can just see those who have gone through a storm and valley and know that God has has brought them through. There are also those who are currently going through a storm that have lost their homes, health and even lost their Family and see that God is ministering to them.

The song speaks to those who are or have gone through disasters and those have lost your home, health or Family. We were in Georgia and while singing the song people were wiping tears and we noticed a couple ladies that were crying. Following the concert they called me off to the side and wanted to share with me their testimony.

I stood in amazement as they began to talk. Both of their husbands worked for the same company and the rode to work together. A truck hit them and both lives were lost. If it wasn’t enough losing their husbands, a few months later the Bank came to one of the ladies homes to take it away. We never know what people are going through that attends our concerts but we want people to know that God can do anything and we may have lost loved ones and material things but if we have our faith, we can rise up and say “I Still Have It All.”

We are getting getting emails from people giving testimonies how God has brought them through a storm and how much the song has ministered to them.

We would love to hear from you. If God has done something very special in your and the song has ministered to you, let us know and we will send on newsletter. If you wish us not to share, please make a note when sending the testimony.

Below are the lyrics to our latest radio release “I Still Have It All.”

Words:  Caleb Collins & Marty Funderburk

I Still Have It All

Verse:

I know there’ll be storm clouds
The thunder will roll
I face waves of fear
sweeping over my soul.
I’ll never be helpless,
though the world round me falls.
For if I loose all I own
My health and my home
I still have it all.

Chorus:

In the midst of disaster
when it seems all is lost
I will still trust the master,
I will cling to his cross
No trial can defeat me
No they can’t make me fall
For if I have my faith
I can rise up and say
I still have it all

Verse:

Now you may have stumbled
Oh and guilt keeps you down
You can’t even pray
For defeat has you bound
But if you’ll cry Lord just save me
He will answer your call
And when the clouds roll away
Then you too can say
I still have it all

HisSong Signs With Vine Records & Crossroads Distribution

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Vine Records is pleased to announce the signing of HisSong, an exciting young trio based out of Nashville, Tennessee, to an exclusive recording contract.

Their debut label release, On the Way Up, offers powerful songs of deliverance and encouragement from top industry artist/writers such as Walt Mills, Tanya Goodman Sykes and Joel Hemphill, as well as other professional staff writers who have delivered hundreds of hits (Wayne Haun, Joel Lindsey, Marty Funderburk, Tony Wood, Lyn Rowell, Caleb Collins and Ola Graves).

Dennis Humphries of HisSong describes the new partnership in this way: “Before any of this happened, we prayed that God would lead us to the right opportunity, and it’s amazing to see a genius producer like Wayne Haun work so hard, and put everything he has into this project. Working with Vine Records has been the answer to our prayers.”

“We have worked with Wayne for the last two records, so we knew what kind of producer he was,” mentioned Adam Elrod of HisSong. “We’re excited to enter a new relationship with him and Kevin Ward at Vine Records.”

The first radio single from the project, “The Grave Can’t Hold Me,” has already jumped into the Top 30 of the Singing News Top 80 chart for the upcoming November 2007 issue. In addition, the song has broke the Top 5 on both the SoGospelNews.com Top 40 Weekly Chart and the October 2007 PowerSource Magazine Top 100 Southern Gospel chart.

Adam Cannon is finding that this song is striking a stronger chord with audiences than the group has ever seen before.  Cannon said, “People talk to us after each concert and tell us stories of losing a mother or father, a son or a daughter, and how they need the CD with that song - because it gives them hope. For now, we can only take their pre-orders, Adam Elrod says, we are excited that they won’t have to wait much longer for the project, it is definitely our best we have ever recorded. There are a great variety and something for everyone.

Southern Gospel fans won’t have to wait much longer for this highly anticipated CD; The new project will be released in Texas Thursday, October 18 in Broaddus, Texas at the East Texas Jamboree. It is scheduled for release to Christian Bookstores on November 20, 2007, on the Vine Records label, and will be distributed by Crossroads Entertainment and Marketing, Inc.

HisSong to Perform at Michigan State Campmeeting

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Diamond Award winning trio HisSong will perform at the “Fresh Anointing” Michigan State Campmeeting this coming Monday, October 1st through Wednesday, October 3rd in Monroe, Michigan at the Stewart Road Church of God.

HisSong owner/manager Dennis Humphries says, “We are so excited to be a part of this campmeeting.  Pastor Luke is a dynamic pastor with a heart to win lost souls.  He served as a church pastor in Mobile, Alabama before moving to Ohio, where they began pastoring a 1,500 member church.  Within two years, the church grew to more than 4,500 people.  The same thing has happened in Michigan.  When we were at Stewart Road a year ago, it was amazing.  At the end of the service, the altars in this large sanctuary were totally filled as people were saved and lives were changed.  We feel so honored to be a part of what God is doing in this church – but not just Monroe, Michigan – but at churches all over this country. If you have the opportunity to be with us for one or more days of the campmeeting, I know you will be blessed.  We have received reports from people in several states that are traveling to attend the campmeeting this week.”

HisSong did a concert in the area this time last year, and they were asked by Pastor Dr. Sam Luke to be the special music guest for the three-day state campmeeting.

Following the campmeeting in Michigan, HisSong will embark on a three-week tour to Texas & Louisiana.

“We are very excited,” states Dennis, “as our new project will be released while we are in Texas.  The CDs will be shipped to us.”

Saturday, April 14, 2007

It’s Saturday and we took the night off. We have been really busy over the past few week’s. We enjoyed a fantastic meal at Adam Cannon’s Grand Parents home in Marion, IL.  My Mom & Dad drove up to be with us. They have become next door neighbors with Adam Cannon’s Grand Parents in Texas during the winter months so they drove up to spend time with Don & Sue and to be with us. I am soo glad to see them as I have not seen them since December 31 at our New Years Eve Concert in Texas. Alot of Adam Cannon’s Family was there and the food was fantastic.  Adam’s Grandma and Aunt did a excellent job cooking. We had Chicken, Ribs and the list goes on and on.  I ate till I couldn’t eat no more then Mom got up and brought me back a big piece of the homemade Chocolate Cake. I didn’t have it eaten yet till she brought me a piece of Strawberry cake that Adam’s Aunt made. Now you can see why I am spoiled lol. Mom makes sure eat and get plenty to eat lol.

It’s been a great day of relaxing and it’s probably good that we have the night off because I wouldn’t be able to sing after eating the big meal. I am just going to relax on the Bus tonight and be ready to sing in the morning. BTW we will be in Crab Orchard, IL at the Crab Orchard United Methodist Church. We would LOVE for you to be with us. The address is on our schedule on our way website.

We hope to see you soon

God Bless,
Dennis

Saturday, March 10, 2007 “Louisville, Kentucky”

Hey Everybody,

We just left Clover Leaf Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky. This was an awesome night with a very large crowd with a few hundred people. This Church has several concerts each year. Karen Peck & New River was at the Church in Feb and we followed with the concert tonight. We was at the Church last year in March and we had a great time but I will have to say that tonight was the best.

The Pastor, Church and the community always makes up feel so welcome. We have been staging one of our new songs which will be sent to radio within the next few week’s.  I know that we’re not suppose to stage a song until we can sell it on the table but we are taking pre-orders. We ended our first half with the song and people absolutely LOVED the song and they showed it by giving us a full standing ovation. We had to sing a little more of the song.

At the end of the concert, I gave the altar call. Many hands went up that didn’t know Christ as their Lord and Savior. The altars filled with those who were lost and those with special needs. I received testimonials from people following the concert of some who were saved or God did something special in their lives. We always love to see God minister to those who are lost, hurting, depressed.

We enjoyed some wonderful food in the fellowship hall of the Church following the concert.  The sandwiches and deserts were fantastic.  A Lady actually sent some deserts with us and the Orange Juice Cake was awesome.

The guys are already in their bunks asleep and I am about to do the same thing so I can get up and sing in the morning.  Speaking of morning, we will be in Mount Washington, Kentucky at Grace Union Baptist Church at 11:00 AM EST in the morning. I almost forgot that the clocks go forward tonight. It seems weird as it is a month early this year but I like for the days to be longer. I am glad I thought of it or we might have been late for the Sunday morning service.

Tomorrow night (Sunday) we will be in Auburn, Kentucky at Care Springs Baptist Church at 5:30 PM CST. We would love to see all our Kentucky friend’s.

Well, that’s all for now. Until next time, God bless

Dennis
